Michael Pelikow
Head of Operations & Facilities

Michael spent the past ten years as Director of Operations and Finance for Camp Mesorah. Michael oversaw all capital improvement and renovation projects for the camp as well as managed the day to day operations of the camp year round. He was also responsible for the financial management of the camp. Michael was instrumental in Mesorah’s expansion efforts over the past decade. 


Michael has been in summer camp his whole life as a camper, employee and in management. He is excited for this new chapter in his life to put his skills and expertise to work for Camp Lavi.

Michael lives in West Hempstead and will be joining us with his wife Alisa, and three children Ashi, Mia and Izzy.


Alan Berger 
Director of Programming Operations

Alan is owner and operator of
Grand Getaways, a 1,200 person Passover program in Orlando, Florida.  Alan is a long time Camp Lavi family member and employee working as an athletics director back in the 90's and finally returning as Assistant Director in 2010.

Throughout the winter months Alan is responsible for hiring our South Florida staff members and acting as our liaison in The Sunshine State. Alan lives in Hollywood, FL with his wife Aliza and their five children.
