Cheryl has been in Camp Lavi since 1988! She was a camper and counselor and then returned as a Division Head of Upper Gurim (5th grade girls). Cheryl hails from Woodmere, NY (originally from Monsey, NY). She works full time as a Speech Language Pathologist in Oceanside High School (for the past 19 years). Cheryl cares for students with varying language disabilities from life skills students to higher functioning college bound students. She loves her job and takes pride in her responsibilities. Cheryl has many years of experience as counselor and head counselor prior to working in Lavi. Cheryl has been diligent in creating an environment at camp in which young girls will thrive as confident and independent young women.
Rabbi Gotch Yudin
abbi Yudin has been involved in camp in one way or another for most of his life. In addition to Camp Morasha, he has held positions at Camp Lavi, Camp Tagola, Camp Hillel, Camp Mesorah, and the NCSY TJJ Program. For many years, he has spent both the school year and his summers instilling students and campers with a love of Torah and a love of Israel. A true “camp person,” he knows that camp is a home away from home and a place where children can have fun, engage in sports, form bonds, grow and become more closely connected to their Jewish values.
Rabbi Yudin and his family made aliyah 12 years ago. He and his wife, Ruthie, live in Beit Shemesh. They have six lovely children and three beautiful granddaughters. We are so excited for Rabbi Yudin to bring his dynamic personality, energetic spirit and sense of humor to camp.
